Perspirex works so effectively thanks to the active ingredient Aluminum Chloride. Aluminum Chloride reacts with water and protein in the sweat duct by temporarily forming a gel-plug reducing the sweat reaching the surface of the skin. The skin care system in Comfort, Original and Men Regular reduces or even minimises the skin irritation commonly known from “highly effective” antiperspirants.
The gel plug is dispelled over the course of a few days with the natural shedding of dead skin cells which is why you only have to reapply Perspirex roll-ons every 5th day and lotions every 3rd day
The active ingredient in all Perspirex products is Aluminum Chloride. Aluminum Chloride is used because it is extremely effective at forming a long-lasting gel plug in the sweat ducts. Its effect has been well documented in both the scientific literature and clinical tests.
Aluminum Chloride can irritate the skin; therefore, an active skin care system has been added to some of our formulations. The skin care system reduces skin irritation, commonly known from extra-effective antiperspirants.
The sweat glands are less active at night. Consequently, the water level in the sweat glands is low and the gel-plug forms more effectively in the sweat duct. This provides you with long-lasting protection against sweat and odour.
